Position: Flight Coordinator / Charter Sales
Purpose: Serves as the central point of communication; responsible for scheduling & dispatch of daily flight operations and managing of charter sales, including timely quotes and follow up.
Immediate Supervisor: Dispatch Manager
Responsibilities:
Manage and promote the increase of our retail charter customer base via coordinated phone calls, posting and selling of all 135 dead-head legs and assisting with any marketing promotions and timely follow-ups
Build and maintain aircraft and crew schedules in compliance with company and FAA regulations regarding currency, flight and duty times (in conjunction with the Director of Operations)
Ensure aircraft schedules do not conflict with airport / airspace restrictions
Schedule aircraft as efficiently as possible in regard to operating cost and cycles
Act as the “subject matter expert” on Federal Aviation Regulations and Company policies, and remain compliant in all operations
Complete necessary arrangements and planning required for successful completion of all flights
Coordinate aircraft handling and fueling with fixed based operators
Negotiate fuel discounts with fuel providers and advise crew of the anticipated discount
Coordinate detailing operations as needed
Assist flight crew with flight plan and weather information
Arrange ground transportation, catering, and accommodations for both customers and flight crew as needed
Prepare trip packets containing all necessary information for passengers and crew
Execute planning of international flights
Obtain any necessary permits, passports, visas, etc. when flying into and out of foreign countries for both passengers and flight crew
Coordinate with 3rd party handlers for international flights as needed
Assemble international binder for all internationals trip containing all required documentation
Maintain a flight following system to ensure safety of flight
Maintain positive relationships with aircraft owners and communicate timely and effectively all activity scheduled for their aircraft, including charters and maintenance
Understand complex computer software related to flight dispatching and logistic support
Maintain department records (including flight manifest, maintenance, insurance and personnel records) to ensure accurate reporting, currency and accounting
Effectively communicate with team members and dispatch manager regarding open items, hand-offs, end of day reports, and emails
Answer and direct incoming phone calls from clients, vendors and pilots
Other duties as assigned by Axis Jet management
Salary: Starting salary $20/hr plus bonuses depending on experience.
